Welcome to my world of storytelling through the lens. As a documentary filmmaker, I approach each project as a journey, weaving narratives that capture the essence of real life. I operate with a strategic approach to visual storytelling, navigating the details and intricacies of each story while recognizing patterns and trends that bring depth and support the authenticity of my characters on the big screen.
Everything I do begins with leadership. It’s a commitment to guiding my team and the production towards a shared vision. My mission is to deliver narratives that resonate with the audience and share an emotionally rich core fueled by connections that linger long after the credits roll.
FALL SEMESTER 2023 RECAP VIDEO
Bio
I grew up with a camera in my hand, almost like my aunt Hazel who continuously supplied them (and paid for my photos to get developed) knew I was meant to tell stories with it. And every trip she took me on summer after summer I documented our experiences. It shaped my world and opened my mind up to broadcasting in TV and radio. I attended Ft. Hayes in Columbus, Ohio in both areas, and in 2003 I began scouting footage for my first documentary on independent Hip Hop culture. Seven documentaries later, several music videos, and a TV show that spanned cities, I’m still here counting frames in editing and making timeless, cultural classics.
My approach
I have always been captivated by the intricacies of human life from a cultural perspective and the power of compelling storytelling. My approach to crafting unforgettable stories is rooted in my passion for creating intense, thought-provoking, and immersive experiences that leave a lasting impact on the audience. I look forward to continuing to craft gripping stories that challenge, entertain, and push the boundaries of the documentary genre.

A female hacker, Brooklyn, leads her team on the heist of the century - more than $250 billion in cash, assets, jewels, and cyrpto. This is a student film filmed on an iPhone and edited in Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve.

My interest in media is multi-hyphenated. I believe the message can be delivered and received in many ways, so why limit your content or artistic and technical abilities to one medium? Take up space in all areas that interest you about your industry. That’s my take on multimedia in the 21st century.

I began editing video in Windows Movie Maker on a PC in the early 2000s. The processor was so slow I couldn’t even preview my timeline. Just render it and hope for the best! And make tweaks as my computer would allow. Now I edit on Apple OS in Premiere and Resolve. Talk about leveling up!

I cut my teeth in TV after I released the 4th documentary. I was amassing so much information about the music industry from professionals and knew a TV show with interviews and powerful music resources would be beneficial to the culture. My TV show ran for years in multiple cities and states.
Film
Independent Documentary Filmmaker
I started just wanting to make a film about my environment - the culture that encompasses Hip Hop from a filmmaker's lens. Music, cars, fashion, events, and so much more became the mountain I would climb, and 20 years later I’m still creating and curating dope content.
